Motor Fleet Risk Management
Fleet Risk Management.
Managing your fleet risk.
Profile - Mike Reed.
The challenge
Unacceptably high fleet accidents are usually tackled with knee-jerk solutions - for example driver training or incentive/penalty schemes.

You could strike lucky, it could be just what is needed. But there can be many reasons why fleet accidents are too high and you might have picked entirely the wrong “solution” for a problem you don’t have, rather like randomly taking a medicine without really knowing what’s wrong with you.  The odds of hitting on the right thing are against you; at best it’s a waste but it could even backfire.
Our approach
We work closely with our clients to:
1)
Identify the core problem(s) by looking in depth at people, statistics and procedures (see also incident recording & analysis)
2)
Design a strategy to respond to the problems - and strengths - that we identify
3)
Help you to implement the strategy
4)
If needed, support you thereafter, typically as troubleshooter

What can be achieved
Typically, in a fleet of 2,500 cars and trucks we helped our client to achieve a reduction in accident costs of 30% - in excess of £800,000 in it’s first three years.  Third party recoveries increased from 27% to 40%.
